Introduction :
It is a program to enhance the acute stroke service, aimed to augment the communication in between the on-site rTPA nurse with remote-site Neurologist. Nurse using the designated smart phone to capture the data from AED case with e-form of 1) NIHSS, which with internal apps for auto calculation of scores. 2) Nursing assessment chart, the neurologist would have a clear information of the assessment through instant data sharing. He could place order in the system with electronic footprint that facilitate the on-site Doctor to work accordingly. The data captured will be stored in Medical server for further clinical studies by specialty nurse.
Objectives :
The objectives of the project is to enhance communication between Neurologist and TPA nurse. Accuracy and efficiency of NIHSS and dosage of medication can also be improved by auto calculation. Clerical work load of data input can be facilitated by statistics analysis in the electronic system.
Methodology :
Review the current rTPA assessment forms and communication tools in the rTPA call system. Then create and develop an electronic form which enable instant data sharing and auto calculations through smart phones.
when the program is developed, introduce and provide training to relevant staff, followed by a Pilot trial, then collect feedback and evaluate the program.
Result & Outcome :
The tools can obtain effective communication during the rTPA assessment. Accuracy can be promoted and shorten the time of TPA assessment and drug administration. Systematic and efficient data management in rTPA service can be achieved.
