Introduction :
A nurse design mobile APP for TKR patient will be developed. It will contain information for patient education regarding the surgery. Patients and the caregivers can proactively get surgery information, while EARS Case Manager can guide them to refer to the standardized material in care education. There are links for patient to contact ERAS managers and also “alert” function for reminding them some important events.Mobile app will be much more user friendly and interactive than the website which leads to a better post discharge FU and minimize complication and readmission rate.
Objectives :
Using Mobile APP to improve communication and patient education by providing multimedia information and patient feedback with pictures or video.
Methodology :
Patients will be asked to download the mobile app on admission day. They will be educated and encouraged to use the mobile app by EARS Case Manager. A Patient satisfactory survey will be given to patients on discharge. Data will be collected and analysised There are three parts in the mobile app, ward orientation, total knee replacemant information and introduction in multi-disciplinced team approach.
