Introduction :
Due to the increasing demand of inotropic support and total parental nutrition for surgical patients, the episode of central line insertion using Seldinger Technique is in uptrend. We discovered that there are weaknesses in surgical colleagues in the knowledge and compliance of guideline in central line insertion. Hence, continuous quality improvement programme was conducted in order to deal with the loophole.

Methodology :
Simulation based Train-the-trainer programme & training programme for all surgical nurses were conducted in July & August 2019.
Result & Outcome :
Simulation training is conducted for all surgical nurses before August 2019. Departmental audit of insertion of central catheter care was conducted and completed within the period of 19-08-2019 to 07-11-2019 after two audit samples collected from each surgical ward. Total 10 samples were collected for retrospective review. The overall compliance rate of the audit was 100%.
