Introduction :
Physical or chemical restraint were commonly used as first line intervention for management of demented elderly behavioral problems with limited manpower and understanding of latest evidence based support practice.
Objectives :
The best practice for management of demented elderly behavioral issue would like to be concluded with effective implementation.
Methodology :
General inclusion criteria 1. diagnosed with dementia 2. Scored of HK- MoCA 5min < 2nd General exclusion criteria 1. no active delirium specific criteria for music therapy 1. normal hearing function specific criteria for bright light therapy 2. no history of cataract specific criteria for doll therapy 1. liked babies in the past 2. no tragic events from the past or present related to babies or animal
Result & Outcome :
- To improve the cognitive behavior of the dementia patients - Improve the nursing care 1. restraint rate 2. patient, carer and colleagues satisfaction 3. communication ability AT this stage, only 3 trials have been included. the intervention is in progress, further data will be updated.
