Introduction :
The medical council of Hong Kong (2016) suggested Ventrogluteal site is a more preferable intramuscular injection site, while there is no evidence based guideline on existing practice in my department.
Objectives :
To develop an evidence-based practice on intramuscular injection site selection.
Methodology :
Two evidence-based practice training sessions of ventrogluteal intramuscular injection were provided to nursing staff in AED, YCH. And Pre-survey and Post-survey would be conducted for the participants.
Result & Outcome :
To promote patient safety by introducing optimal site of intramuscular injection to our nursing staff. The participants will select the optimal and safety intramuscular injection site after attending the training sessions.
