CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES In April 2019 Ali was appointed to lead the FINPRO Specialty for the combined Marsh JLT Specialty business in Asia. Ali has more than 30 year’s insurance industry experience. EXPERIENCE Ali started his insurance career with JLT in London and spent several years broking in the Lloyd’s market. Prior to his current role he ran JLT’s Financial Lines Group for Asia as well as being the Deputy CEO of JLT’s Malaysian business. In December 2019 Ali relocated from Kuala Lumpur back to Hong Kong where he was previously based for over 20 years. Ali specializes in Professional Indemnity, Directors and Officers Liability, Crime, Financial Institutions, Medical Malpractice and the rapidly developing Cyber Risks insurance products. His experience in the healthcare and medical malpractice sectors includes advising the Hospital Authority in Hong Kong for over 25 years. Ali was also instrumental in establishing the first commercial insurance scheme protecting all the Singapore government MOHH doctors in 2016 and has been closely involved in creating our doctors medical malpractice scheme and Medefend proposition in partnership with the Malaysian Medical Association.
